Bounteous x Accolite, a digital transformation consultancy, collaborated with Agile Network India to host the Chennai Chapter community meetup themed ‘Beyond Clicks – Data, Decisions and Digital Trust’. The event brought together over 40 technology leaders, agile practitioners, technologists and strategists to exchange perspectives on strengthening governance, enhancing decision intelligence and building trust in increasingly AI-enabled environments.

Agile Network India is a practitioner-led community that fosters collaboration among IT professionals to share practical experiences, new ideas and evolving agile approaches.

Discussions during the session focused on how organisations are moving beyond engagement metrics toward more accountable, intelligence-led digital ecosystems. A central theme was the growing tension between personalisation and privacy, balancing the desire for seamless digital experiences with rising concerns around visibility, surveillance and data misuse. Speakers and participants explored responsible data usage, architectural readiness for AI adoption and the integration of trust-centric frameworks within agile operating models that make privacy a design decision rather than a compliance afterthought.

The session featured Vidhya Chandrasekaran, Engineering Manager at Google, who presented the concept of “Zero Retention Agents” and highlighted the growing need for AI systems that prioritize privacy by design. She addressed the prevailing assumption that smarter AI must remember more, arguing instead for systems that rely on short-term context, avoid unnecessary data persistence and give users greater control over what is stored or discarded.

Santhosh Kumar Kannan, Founder & Investor at Advanced Automation Labs, shared insights on using AI for feature prioritization, customer targeting, capital allocation, and strategic pivot decisions.

The event also featured a session by Manasa Rajaram, Director, Analytics at Bounteous x Accolite, who spoke about the need for enterprises to rethink data lifecycle management as AI adoption accelerates. She highlighted the importance of building systems that provide users with clarity, control, and confidence, and emphasized that organizations do not need to choose between analytics and privacy but must intentionally design systems to achieve both.

The discussion underscored that trust must be architected into AI systems through consent frameworks, granular deletion rights, and transparent data handling practices, rather than treated as an afterthought. Participants also examined real-world scenarios, like anonymous browsing to logged-in personalization, to unpack what truly changes when identity enters the equation.

“Active participation in communities like Agile Network India ensures we remain connected to the evolving challenges practitioners face. As AI and analytics scale across organisations, the defining advantage will be in creating systems that deliver insight responsibly and safeguard user trust,” said Anuradha Balasubramanian, EVP, Delivery at Bounteous x Accolite.

The event concluded with interactive discussions that enabled participants to exchange real-world insights and strengthen connections within the regional agile and technology community.
