Jaykumar Rawal, Minister of Marketing and Protocol, Government of Maharashtra said, ” It is an honour to be part of the inaugural World Technology Summit 2025 in Pune, where visionary leaders, innovators and young changemakers have come together to shape a better future. As technology advances faster than ever, our true responsibility lies not only in innovation but in ensuring it serves humanity with ethics and compassion. Under India’s dynamic leadership, we are witnessing how inclusive innovation, from Chandrayaan to UPI- is transforming lives. Let this summit inspire us to use science and technology to build a more connected, peaceful, and equitable world.”
Sir Paul J Foster, Founder and Executive Chairman, World Technology Group said, “It is a true honour to stand here in India — the land of wisdom, innovation and spirit. My deepest respect to the visionary founder of MIT World Peace University, Rev Dr Vishwanath Karad, whose dedication to knowledge and peace continues to inspire generations. I also commend Dr Rahul Karad, Dr R M Chitnis, and Dr Prasad D Khandekar for their leadership and commitment to excellence. What began as an idea — to move from innovation to impact and accelerate global connectivity — has come alive here in Pune. From this stage, India connects to the world through technology, science, and human ingenuity.”
Dr Rahul V Karad, Executive President of MIT-WPU said, “It is a matter of great pride that the first edition of the World Technology Summit 2025 is being held at the World Peace Dome — a symbol of the harmony between science and spirituality. This initiative by Mr. Paul Foster and his team reflects our shared belief that technology must serve humanity with responsibility and compassion. As India advances as a global leader in innovation, we must combine emotional intelligence with scientific excellence. Together, through collaboration between academia and industry, we can shape a future where education, ethics and technology work for the greater good of all.”
Gandhali Samant, Customer Success Leader – Cloud & AI Platforms, Microsoft India & South Asia said, “Artificial Intelligence is not here to replace people; it is here to empower them. If we look back at the industrial and IT revolutions, technology didn’t take away jobs—it created new ones for those who adapted and learned. The same holds true for AI today. Data and AI are powerful tools that can help us make better decisions and drive innovation, but behind every data point lies a human story. That’s why emotional intelligence and empathy must guide how we use technology. Data gives us speed, but empathy gives us direction. As we move toward a future of AI-driven change, the real challenge is not teaching machines to think—it’s teaching humans to feel responsibly in a digital world. Our goal should be to combine the precision of data with the compassion of humanity.”
She added, “As parents, teachers, and leaders, it’s our duty to ensure that young people use technology ethically—to build, not to harm. The future will belong to those who can merge human wisdom with machine intelligence to create solutions that serve society and elevate human life.”
The summit focused on science, innovation, and technology aimed at addressing global challenges. It celebrated and advanced human ingenuity across these fields. The sessions explored advancements in AI, robotics, quantum computing, biotechnology, clean energy, and digital infrastructure across four intersecting scientific realms: Data Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, and Industrial Sciences. The opening day concluded on a high note, setting the stage for two days of engaging sessions, thought-provoking discussions, and collaborations that aim to shape the future of global connectivity and innovation.
