AISIE (All India Small IT & Electronic Manufacturers Association) is a Section 8 non-profit association formed under the umbrella of FAITTA to exclusively represent and support Indian MSMEs and Startups in the IT & Electronics sector. Its core objective is to assist the Government of India and the GeM platform in identifying and addressing inadvertent restrictive conditions in tenders that hinder the participation of Indian brands.
Through policy advocacy, representation and data-based submissions, AISIE works to ensure fair competition and effective implementation of the Make in India and MSME empowerment initiatives issued by Govt of UP.
AISIE welcomes with great appreciation the decision by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in issuing its final findings recommending anti-dumping duties on “Black Toner Powder Cartridges” imported from China. This decision marks a major victory for India’s MSME-led IT and electronics manufacturing sector, which has been adversely impacted by unfair priced imports undermining domestic value‐addition. With this step, the Government has reaffirmed its commitment to protect indigenous manufacturing, level the playing field for local enterprise and advance the “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” objectives.
AISIE President Devesh Rastogi stated, “DGTR’s findings signal a turning point for our industry. For too long, local MSMEs have been crowded out by dumped imports. Now, the domestic manufacturing base can invest with confidence and rise to lead–which is what India’s digital and electronics future demands.”
In light of this decision, AISIE requests and urges the Ministry of Finance to expedite the notification and imposition of the recommended anti-dumping duties without delay. Prompt approval and implementation are critical to prevent further injury to the domestic industry, mitigate unfair competition and unlock the full benefit of this measure for Indian manufacturers. The association stands ready to support the Government in ensuring smooth implementation of the measure and to work collaboratively in strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem for IT hardware, consumables and electronics.
