Happiest Minds’ 8th Annual Tech Fest Held in Bangalore

Happiest Minds Technologies, a ‘Born Digital Born Agile’, Mindful IT Company, hosted the grand finale of its 8th annual technology festival, Blitz, on July 24, 2025, at St John’s Auditorium, Bangalore. This year’s theme, Disruption. Innovation. Acceleration, shaped the tone of the event, showing up consistently across sessions, showcases and conversations, reflecting the ongoing transformation within the company and the broader tech ecosystem.

The event was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp by senior leadership, including Ashok Soota (Chairman & Chief Mentor), Joseph Anantharaju (Co-Chairman & CEO), Venkatraman Narayanan (Managing Director), Preeti Menon (Chief Delivery Officer, PDES), Priya Prasad (IG Head, Retail, CPG & Logistics), Sridhar Mantha (President & CEO, GBS), Rajiv Shah (Executive Director), Poornima Bethmangalkar (IG Head, Industrial, Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities); and Ritesh Gupta (CTO, PDES).

The event opened with a welcome address by Joseph Anantharaju. He spoke about Blitz’s evolution into a strategic platform that goes beyond being just a festival. With the rapid pace of GenAI advancements, he emphasized how Blitz has become essential for staying ahead and driving alignment across the organisation. He also outlined the company’s ongoing transformation journey, including verticalisation, the launch of GBS and the establishment of dedicated sales teams.

This was followed by the keynote address from Ashok Soota, who highlighted the value of foundational thinking in today’s fast-changing tech landscape. He underscored the need to deeply understand customer needs, identify gaps early, and focus on building sustainable solutions. Drawing from this year’s showcases, he appreciated the clarity and domain expertise demonstrated by various teams across the organisation.

The tech note this year was delivered by Ritesh Gupta, who focused on the growing importance of using AI effectively and responsibly in the modern workplace.

Over the course of the day, Happiest Minds from Bangalore, Noida, Hyderabad, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Madurai, Coimbatore and Chennai came together to celebrate ideas in motion through live sessions, technology booths, debates, quizzes and cultural showcases. While Bangalore teams joined on-ground, other campuses participated virtually and celebrated in their own style.

The competition lineup included One-Minute Video, Tech Debate, Tech Accelerator, Technical Whitepapers, Vlog (Women-only), Treasure Hunt, Tech Quiz, Prompt Engineering Contest and the ever-popular Tech Booths.

Team Data Dynamos emerged as the overall winners of Blitz 2025, with a total of 884 points. Their consistent and high-quality performance across categories earned them the top spot. Speaking about their journey, the team shared how each round challenged them to push boundaries, think creatively and deepen their collaboration. Blitz helped them learn, adapt and innovate as a team.

Held on July 23, 2025, Booth Day featured 39 booths across locations, including 29 in Bangalore. The booths presented practical solutions in AI, analytics, automation, sustainability and security, each built around real customer needs.

During the event, Paul Jacob, Happiness Evangelist and Senior Director, People Practice, announced the launch of the ‘Happometer’ Widget. This mood check-in tool allows team members to select an emoji based on how they feel and receive a personalized suggestion, such as a guided meditation, a podcast, or relevant content. It’s a simple shift, designed to make emotional wellness more intuitive and accessible across teams.
