Radware which provides application security and delivery solutions for multi-cloud environments, has announced it is providing web application firewall (WAF) and API protection for Astral. Astral is a manufacturer and marketer of plumbing and drainage systems, water tanks and adhesives in India and internationally. To support its shift to the Cloud, the manufacturer is leveraging Radware’s Cloud Application Protection Services to further strengthen its security posture.

Our security strategy is a key enabler of that mission,” said Sonal Kumar Jain, Astral’s information security manager. “We selected Radware for their deep technical expertise and state-of-the-art application protection, which enable us to operate in a complex digital environment while maintaining peak performance and uninterrupted uptime.”
Astral employs more than 8500 employees, operates 16 plants and exports in more than 31 countries.

Radware’s WAF and API protection is part of the company’s full suite of Cloud Application Protection Services, which also includes web DDoS protection, bot detection and management and client-side protection. Combining end-to-end automation, AI-powered algorithms, behavioral-based detection and 24/7 managed services, the full solution defends against 150+ known attack vectors. This includes the OWASP’s top 10 web application security risks, top 10 API security vulnerabilities and top 21 automated threats to web applications.
