Kavitha Ramachandragowda is the Co-founder and Executive Director of Routematic, India’s leading AI-powered corporate commute platform. Present in 23+ cities and serving over 300 corporate clients, Routematic facilitates more than 5 million employee trips each month, moving 300,000+ people daily. In May 2025, the company raised $40 million in Series C funding – cementing its position as a leader in transport automation and fleet services.
With a degree in Computer Science and over 17 years of cross-functional experience across software engineering, finance, HR, and operations, Kavitha brings a unique blend of technical depth and business acumen to the table. Her journey from a corporate professional to an entrepreneur was driven by the belief that corporate mobility can be a transformative force for employee well-being, gender inclusion, and operational efficiency.
As a woman founder in a traditionally male-dominated sector, Kavitha has broken barriers with a hands-on leadership approach – overseeing product, operations, people strategy, and finance. Her approach blends ambition with empathy, resilience with strategic planning, and personal accountability with inclusive leadership ethos. She is a firm believer that the future of corporate India must be inclusive, and that starts with making the everyday commutes safe, predictable, and dignified for everyone. “Mobility isn’t just about movement—it’s about access,” says Kavitha. “Safe, reliable transport can unlock economic opportunity, especially for women working late night shifts or residing in areas with limited public transport facilities. With Routematic, we’re enabling enterprises to offer safe, secure and reliable employee commutes while also reducing carbon emissions.”
Under her leadership, Routematic has evolved into a full-stack Transportation-as-a-Service (TaaS) platform, offering AI-based route optimization, real-time tracking, safe-drop check-ins, automated scheduling, and sustainability-linked commuting solutions. The company today powers the mobility needs of India’s top corporations including Infosys, HCL, KPMG, and LTI Mindtree – helping them improve productivity while reducing operational costs, Scope 3 emissions and aligning with ESG goals.
Beyond the boardroom, Kavitha is a strong advocate for more female leadership in sectors like tech and mobility where women remain underrepresented. “Empathy, communication, and fresh perspectives are vital. Supporting women through mentorship, learning and opportunities can unlock their full potential in driving innovation across industries,” says Kavitha.
Her journey – navigating startup pressures such as overcoming the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic which brought the entire transport industry to a halt, managing personal responsibilities, and systemic bias—offers a blueprint for aspiring women entrepreneurs. She urges building support networks, setting personal boundaries, staying resilient, and leveraging multi-disciplinary expertise.
Kavitha envisions a future where sustainable, tech-enabled employee transportation is the standard – advancing not just operational efficiency, but also environmental responsibility and inclusive access. With continued investments in AI, green mobility, and nationwide infrastructure, Routematic is poised to shape the future of employee transportation—not only in India, but eventually across global markets – with Kavitha at the helm, steering the company towards a new era of transformative growth.
