What are your future plans to contribute to the Make in India and how do they reflect your long-term vision?
At Ambrane, Make in India has been our core foundation. As we continue to grow, our commitment to in-house manufacturing and localising only strengthens – from small to bigger component; and everything in between.
Moving forward, we’re also actively expanding into new categories like car essentials, lifestyle accessories and more, designed and produced right here in India. Our long-term vision is clear. We want to see India become a global hub for high-performance tech accessories.
In the process, we see ourselves not just as participants, but as active contributors to this transformation, creating everyday tech that proudly carries the Made in India stamp.
How would you describe your research and development efforts within the manufacturing domain?
Our R&D efforts are closely aligned with real consumer needs. We pay attention to customer feedback and use those insights to refine our products for the Indian market, resulting in an enhanced customer experience.
A dedicated team is focused on new product development, constantly exploring how we can improve functionality, durability, and user experience. Our recent focus has been towards sustainability by researching ways to reduce plastic use in our supply chain.
This includes working with alternative materials and new vendors who align with our vision. It’s a gradual process, but one we’re committed to improving with each step.
Is your technological development primarily driven by in-house expertise, or do you engage in strategic collaborations?
Our core technological development is largely driven by in-house teams, which gives us the agility to innovate quickly and customise technology for our audience. However, we also believe in the power of collaboration when it aligns with our vision.
For instance, we partnered with IIT Kanpur to co-develop a smartwatch designed specifically for visually impaired users, a project we’re especially proud of. We also have a few ongoing collaborations that we’d be excited to share in the near future.
Ultimately, it’s a balanced approach, combining internal strengths with strategic partnerships to deliver something meaningful and impactful.
How widespread is your consumer base across India; and which regions have shown significant traction for your offerings?
Ambrane today enjoys a strong consumer base across the country, with metro cities continuing to lead in terms of volume, particularly through online platforms. But what’s really driving our next phase of growth is the rising demand from Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
These markets are evolving rapidly, and we’ve seen great results through our offline retail presence and deep partnerships with local vendors. We’re mindful of fine-tuning our product offerings to align with regional needs whether it’s pricing, utility, or availability. As these markets continue to mature, we see immense potential for long-term brand loyalty and sustained growth.
