Nifty 50 has risen between 3% and 4% about 5 times in the last 5 years.

Markets opened above Friday’s closing point and rose throughout the day.

The substantial rise in the markets was due to the ceasefire on the current India-Pakistan conflict and the easing of US-China trade tensions.

All sectors rose today, with IT stocks and realty stocks rising the most.

There were only 2 Nifty 50 stocks that fell today. Hence, there are only 2 stocks in the ‘Top Losers’ section.

The currency markets were closed today (12 May) on the account of Buddha Purnima. Hence, there will be no updates for the USD-INR exchange rate.

Global markets: US markets were flat. European and Asian markets rose.
