The Maruti E Vitara is the first electric car from Maruti in India. It features a modern looking dashboard and offers a claimed range of over 500 km. In India, it will only be available in front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration. This electric SUV will be manufactured in India and will be sold in both domestic and international markets.

Price ranges from Rs 17 to 22 lakhs.

It is offered with two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh, the specifications of which are:

• 49 kWh: Comes paired with a front-wheel mounted electric motor (FWD) which makes 144 PS and 192.5 Nm.
• 61 kWh: Available as a FWD, it is mated to an electric motor which makes 174 PS and 192.5 Nm.

It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.1-inch digital driver’s display and an Infinity sound system. Amenities like auto AC, ambient lighting, a 10-way powered driver seat along with ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and a wireless phone charger are also provided with this EV.

It competes with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and the Hyundai Creta Electric.
